Xiaomi Unveils Android TV 1080p Mi TV Streaming Stick
Xiaomi, one of China’s largest and fastest-growing mobile and home entertainment electronics companies, launched for the U.S. market Wednesday a new Android TV-based Mi TV Stick that is billed as a value-priced pocket-sized 1080p streaming media player for use at home and on the road.
The new Mi TV Stick is based on the Android TV platform and thus supports both Google Assistant voice control and Chromecast mobile device streaming sent to a connected TV. The diminutive streamer also supports both Dolby and DTS surround sound formats, and incorporates a powerful quad-core CPU for snappy response.
Other features include: a Bluetooth remote, dedicated Netflix and Prime Video buttons, 1GB RAM and 8GB of storage capacity.
The pocket-sized 1080p streaming stick measures 3.6 inches x 1.2 inches and is easily portable for travel between home, hotel rooms, college dormitories and other remote locations. The design will let uses simply plug the Mi TV Stick into the HDMI port on a TV display screen to enjoy thousands of hours of content in up to Full HD 1080p resolution.
The Android TV platform enables easy access to the most popular streaming apps with thousands of movies and TV programs available to watch. In addition, built-in Google Assistant and Chromecast allow controlling the TV via voice commands to painlessly get content recommendations, command smart home devices simply by speaking into the mic on the Mi TV Stick remote.
The embedded Chromecast feature allows users to seamlessly cast any content from a smart phone or tablet onto the TV without the need for any wires or cables.

The unit is drived by a quad-core Cortex A53 processor, 1GB of RAm and 8GB of internal storage.
