
Viotek introduced Friday three new high-resolution curved-screen gaming optimized LED-LCD monitors, highlighted by the 49-inch SUW49C Ultrawide HDR gaming monitor offering a wide 32:9 aspect ratio.
Other models coming to market include the 35-inch GN35DR Ultrawide Curved Gaming Monitor and GN32DR 32-inch WQHD-resolution Curved Gaming Monitor.
Viotek said the SUW49C (pictured at top), which is priced at a $990 suggested retail ($799.99 introductory price) features 3840 x 1080 pixel resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate and produces a compelling and immersive user experience for entertainment and work. The company calls it a “one-screen productivity powerhouse for multitasking.”
“It’s like having multiple monitors in one,” stated Brett Barbour, Viotek VP. “It’s truly a display you have to experience to appreciate.”
For gaming the SUW49C offers a 4ms response time with overdrive, AMD FreeSync and GamePlus crosshairs.
“This also allows console gamers to get more out of their Xbox since Microsoft recently bumped the platform to 120Hz and added FreeSync—features unsupported by most traditional TVs,” the company’s said it the product announcement.
Other features include dual-input PIP/PBP functions enabling two sources to be displayed on screen at the same time for enhanced versatility in creative working applications. The SUW49C also has a wealth of inputs including DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 2.0 and 1.4 ports, and 3.5mm audio.

The unit inputs a sleek remote control to easily navigate on-screen menus, switch between inputs, toggle settings, access advanced features and other functions.
The monitor supports high dynamic range (HDR) for some of the newer games. Viotek said the unit has a VA-type LCD panel, supports up to 16.7M colors, and have as 1M:1 dynamic contrast ratio.

The 32-inch GN32DR, which is available now at a $510 suggested retail ($429.99 introductory price), is another gaming optimized monitor with 2560 x 1440 pixel WQHD resolution, a 144hz refresh rate and AMD FreeSync support.
The GN35DR and GN32DR both feature Viotek’s new “Rage Proof” Battle Stand for stable performance and include both height and tilt adjustments. All three monitors are VESA mounting compatible.
