Viewsonic introduced this week its M2e Full HD (1920×1080) DLP portable projector with an LED-based light source and a range of LED-LCD monitors for professional and gaming applications.
The compact unit offers easy set-up and use via a single-cable design. The projector, which weighs 2.2 pounds, features USB-Type C connector support for direct streaming from “Nintendo Switch” gaming consoles and other USB-Type C devices and offers advanced instant auto-focus and auto keystone image correction.
The listed contrast ratio is 3,000,000:1 and the image aspect ratio is 16:9.
The company said the diminutive projector can be easily moved from room to room and is suitable for outdoor video projection, for home entertainment, or office and conference room applications for business purposes.
The Viewsonic M2e, which is available at retail now for a $599.99 estimated street price, is listed with 1,000 Lumens of peak brightness from its LED light source, which has a listed average life expectency of up to 30,000 hours. The throw ratio is 1.21 (with a screen size range of 0.65m-2.68m — 80 [email protected]).
The company lists the model with 125% coverage of the BT-709 color space further enhanced with the Viewsonic proprietary Cinema SuperColor+ technology.
For sound support, the M2e Portable Projector has built-in Harman Kardon speakers.
In addition to the aforementioned USB-Type C support, the Viewsonic M2e adds wireless Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for connectivity along with inputs supporting HDMI 1.4/HDCP 1.4, MicroSD and audio-ouput terminals.

Viewsonic also introduced new LED LCD monitors for home and office, including models optizmized for advanced gaming and video conferencing.
Among the new Viewsonic monitors for 2021 are a trio of LCD displays including: the 27-inch ColorPro VP2756-4K; the 34-inch WQHD (3440×1440 pixel) VX3418-2KPC Multimedia Monitor; and the 27-inch 4K VG2740V Webcam Monitor.
The VP3481a (available now at a $749.99 expected retail) and VP2756-4K are the latest monitors under the ColorPro series. These “professional monitors” are said to deliver color-accurate picture quality complying with the sRGB, Adobe RGB color standards, while offering calibration and uniformity adjustment.
The 34-inch VP3481a monitor is Pantone-validated for a full range of 2,161 colors. It offers a sleek three-sided frameless design.
The 27-inch Viewsonic 4K UHD VP2756-4K (available soon at a $489.99 expected street retail) is suitable for multi-monitor setups. It is equipped with USB-C for single cable connectivity to deliver video, audio, and 60W of power delivery.
Features include a SuperClear IPS panel, three-sided frameless design, Pantone-validated 100% sRGB color gamut coverage and factory Calibration. It also includes connectivity for HDMI, DisplayPort and USB-hub.
The Viewsonic 34-inch WQHD (3440×1440) VX3418-2KPC Multimedia Monitor (available in July at a $450 expected street retail) offers has a 1500R curved LCD screen, with a 144Hz (using DisplayPort) refresh rate, and a 1ms (MPRT) response time.
It features adaptive sync technology with ViewMode presets for optimized screen performance. Connectivity options include 2 HDMI (v2.0) and 2 DisplayPort (v1.4) inputs.
The Viewsonic 27-inch VG2740V Webcam Monitor (avaiable in the third quarter at a $310 estimated street retail) offers video conferencing convenience with its built-in webcam and native Full HD 1080p (1920×1080) resolution. The Full HD webcam is adjustable +/- 5° tilt and is equipped with a physical shutter for privacy, an omni-directional microphone and dual 2W stereo speakers.
Connectivity options include: VGA, HDMI, DisplayPort, USB A/B and audio-out.
The Viewsonic 24-inch Full HD 1080p XG2431 ELITE Gaming Monitor (available in the third quarter at a $349.99 estimate street retail) features a 240Hz refresh rate and ultra-fast 1ms response time suited for advanced video game play.
The monitor supports AMD FreeSync Premium technology, is Blur Busters approved and includes Exclusive
PureXP technology.
Connectivity support includes: HDMI, DisplayPort, USB-A/B and audio-out.
