As announced back in September, the cloud-based gaming app for the Utomik service is now available on LG 2022 and 2021 webOS LCD and OLED smart TVs.
The Utomik Cloud app became available recently through the LG App store on applicable LG smart TVs in the U.S., U.K. and other regions as well as through the new LG Game Shelf, a gaming specific user interface on select LG TVs.
“Users can access Utomik Cloud and the games in Utomik’s cloud catalog on the Gaming Shelf, which can be found on the Home Screen of their LG TVs, or by downloading Utomik Cloud through the App Store,” Utomik said in a recent availability announcement.
Availability came around the same time that LG-rival Samsung announced Utomik was also coming to many of its 2021 Tizen TVs along with Amazon’s Luna gaming app, Xbox Game Pass and NiVidia GeForce Now cloud gaming service.
The Utomik app will be supported by LG OLED and LED-LCD Smart TVs running the webOS 6.0 (2021) or webOS 23 (2022) OS platforms.
Like the other cloud-based gaming platforms, Utomik does not use a separate connected PC or console, and gamers are able to use a compatible third-party wired or wireless controller paired with the television to engage in the action.
Utomik is differentiated from some of its larger rival services by featuring more than 100 game titles from mostly casual and independent game titles in a wide range of genres, and include such indie favorites like Coffee Talk, My Time at Portia and Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion.

The Utomik service requires a $9 per month subscription for the Cloud plan that provides more than 100 streaming games on TVs. The service has more titles available for download on gaming PCs.
