Samsung last week announced through Twitter that it has started rolling out an update for select 2021 Samsung TV and monitor models enabling game streaming services through the Samsung Gaming Hub app.

The update will enable compatible step-up 2021 display models to access game streaming services from Xbox Game Pass, Nvidia GeForce Now, Amazon Luna, and Utomik apps, to stream games directly through the television or monitor without the need of a gaming console, PC or other source devices.

Those services were first made accessible on Samsung 2022 display models and has now opened up to many 2021 smart TV models after update. To play the games, the TVs will accept the connection to many popular third-party wireless gaming controllers.

In addition, the Amazon Luna and Xbox Game Pass apps for TVs are currently exclusive to select Samsung TVs.

Of course, subscriptions will be required to any of the game streaming services. But Samsung said singing in to any of these supported services will be a one-time affair on its TVs after completing the initial setup and login process. Users will be able to stream games with minimal effort from there on.

To take advantage, 2021 Samsung TV owners can check for the latest firmware update through the Tizen smart TV platform, connect a compatible wireless controller and get started.
