The Tom Cruise box office smash “Top Gun: Maverick” will be coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray, Blu-ray Disc and DVD November 1, Paramount Pictures Home Entertainment said Tuesday.
The film grossed over $1.3 billion in worldwide box office revenue and was the highest grossing film of the producer/actor’s career.
The story deals with Pete “Maverick” Mitchell working as a test pilot after more than 30 years of service as a top Naval aviator. In the continuing story, Maverick must confront the ghosts of his past when he returns to Top Gun to train a group of elite graduates and comes face-to-face with Lt. Bradshaw (Miles Teller), the son of his former wingman, “Goose”. Bitter rivalries ignite as the pilots prepare for a specialized mission, which will require the ultimate sacrifice from those chosen to fly it.
The film has been available to stream since August 23rd, but now will be coming to collectors on physical discs, including a special Steel Book collectors set.
The digital release of the sequel to the original hit Top Gun, Top Gun: Maverick will take fans deep inside the making of the movie with over 110 minutes of bonus content.
This will include a look at the cast’s intense flight training program, along with behind-the-scenes clips of the filmmakers capturing the spectacular aerial sequences.

The 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc will offer a Dolby Atmos soundtrack remixed specifically for the home to place and move audio anywhere in the room, including overhead, and Dolby Vision high dynamic range (HDR), with greater brightness, contrast and wide color gamut image highlights. The film will also be available in a 4K Ultra HD SteelBook. The 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray includes access to a Digital copy of the film as well as “Cleared For Take Off,” “Breaking New Ground – Filming Top Gun: Maverick,” “A Love Letter To Aviation,” “Forging The Darkstar,” “Masterclass with Tom Cruise – Cannes Film Festival,” and the two music videos.
The standard Blu-ray Disc version offers the movie in Full HD 1080p resoution with Dolby Atmos. The Blu-ray includes access to a Digital copy of the film as well as “Cleared For Take Off,” “Breaking New Ground – Filming Top Gun: Maverick,” “A Love Letter To Aviation,” “Forging The Darkstar,” and the two music videos.
The DVD version includes the feature film in standard definition.
