What is Cyber Monday? Started by the National Retailer Federation in 2005, it began as the recognition of increased on-line sales on the Monday after Thanksgiving. The New York Times reports “The name Cyber Monday grew out of the observation that millions of otherwise productive working Americans, fresh off a Thanksgiving weekend of window shopping, were returning to high-speed Internet connections at work Monday and buying what they liked”. In five short years it’s evolved into a tradition.   ComScore reports over half of the Cyber Monday sales will take place at the workplace.
