Updated 1/23/11 New Lower On-Line Prices
The Super Bowl is two weeks from this Sunday. Shopping for a new HDTV for the big game? You’re in luck! Three factors are forcing dealers and set makers to offer the best deals ever. That’s because Super Bowl represents the end of the TV selling season, dealers either unload now or to carry overly high inventories. (The TV selling season lasts from Fall until the game). Set makers are introducing their respective 2011 lines earlier than ever, with at least one company shipping their new TVs at the end of February, a further incentive to clear their warehouses. Adding to the problem, the TV manufacturers are overstocked, especially the larger screen size models.
We took a sneak peak at Best Buy’s weekly Sunday circular for January 23, 2011. Below are their hottest deals on big screen, name brand HDTVs. All listings begin with a link to Amazon and show the original Best Buy price, their weekly circular price and the best Amazon price (at time of posting).
Note: Amazon offers free delivery on any TV sold directly by them. You also get a 30 day money back guarantee and price protection. Amazon prices often drop once the Best Buy circular releases with the Sunday newspapers so keep checking our links. Most states do not collect sales tax on Amazon orders (with the exceptions of CA, CO, KS, KY, NY, ND & WA). You always must pay sales tax when buying at Best Buy or any brick and mortar store.
Should you buy an HDTV from on on-line or from retail store? Learn all the pros and cons in our article here.
Our favorite deals are on the Panasonic and Samsung plasma TVs. They represent the best value in HDTV with fantastic picture quality, freedom from motion blur, the widest viewing angle of any TV technology and the biggest screen for the least amount of money.
