A  Super Bowl HDTV shopper survey just released by techbargains.com reveals one in four shoppers are considering purchasing a new HDTV before the game on February 5, 2012. A whopping 72% of consumers believe the size of the HDTV impacts on their viewing experience.

69% will purchase online and 31% will purchase in store

57% will switch over to buy an LED TV while 20% will buy another LCD

57% will spend more on a new TV than on their last TV

42% will spend $500-$999, 27% will spend $1,000-$1,499

23% may buy a new TV in time for the Super Bowl (7% will buy, 16% are undecided)

74% will purchase online and 26% will purchase in store

35% will buy an LED TV, 32% will buy another Plasma and 18% will buy a 3DTV

53% will spend more on a new TV than on their last TV

32% will spend $500-$999, 29% will spend $1,000-$1,499

 

Summary

Consumers want the biggest sharpest image when viewing the Super Bowl. About 7 out of 10 buyers surveyed want to buy online, showing more confidence in the value of online HDTV buying than ever before (take notice Best Buy!). HD Guru believes this is largely due to Amazon’s very pro-customer policies including free freight, 30 day free returns and more.
