Sound United company’s Polk Audio and Definitive Technology are getting the jump on the Holiday shopping season by offering special deals on a handful of home theater products.
Both the Sound United’s acclaimed home theater speaker brands Polk Audio and Definitive Technology have limited-time special deals available now through Oct. 24th from the Polk and Definitive Technology web sites and from Amazon.com.
Polk Audio is offering a pair of products from its affordable React Sound bar lineup, including the Polk React Soundbar at a special $199, a savings of $50 from the original retail price.
The 2-channel soundbar offers offers a slim design with virtual surround sound and built-in Amazon Alexa voice control for basic soundbar functions including volume, sound mode and source selection. It will also control streaming music services like Amazon Music and provides spoken control of Alexa-compatible smart home devices.
When using multiple Amazon smart speakers, the system can be used to as a wireless multi-room music system throughout the house. The soundbar supports Dolby Digital and DTS decoding, Polk Voice Adjust technology for clear dialog and built-in Bluetooth to stream music wirelessly from mobile devices. The Polk React Soundbar can be connected with the the optional wireless Polk React subwoofer to add more impactful bass. Optional Polk SR2 wireless surround sound speakers can also be added on for greater dimensionality.
The soundbar had one HDMI/ARC input and a supplied HDMI cable, a USB port for firmware updates and a digital optical audio input. The soundbar measures 34-1/16 inches wide x 2-1/4 inches high x 4-13/16 inches deep.

The Polk Adjust EQ automatically balances the settings of your React soundbar with the subwoofer output. The subwoofer includes a 7-inch woofer and a flared port delivering deeper bass than the subwoofer alone. Like the soundbar, the React sub features a matching slim, compact design and features wireless simple setup. The subwoofer enclosure measures: 8-5/8 inches wide x 13-3/4 inches high x 16-1/2 inches deep.
Definitive Technology is offering a special on a pair of bookshelf speakers from its popular Demand Series, including the D9 and D11 models.
The Definitive D9 is available now for $699 per pair, a savings of $50 from the original $749 retail price.
The speakers feature a 1-inch aluminum aluminum dome tweeter with 20/20 Wave Alignment Lens for bright high-frequency performance and center stereo image. This is joined with a 5-1/4 inch Balanced Double Surround System (BDSS) polypropylene woofer emitting clear, smooth midrange and well-accented bass punch.
The frequency response is: 64-22,000 Hz (-3dB) and the recommended power is 20-150 watts.
Each speaker measures 6-9/16-inches wide x 11-13/16 inches high x 12-7/16 inches deep.
