Owners of the Sony RX10 IV Cybershot camera will be pleased to learn that a firmware update (v 2.00) is now available to add the company’s Real-Time Animal Eye Auto Focus (AF) technology to the popular single-lens one-inch bridge camera.

Sony said the feature will be added to the Cybershot RX10 IV’s powerful phase-detect AF system, bringing the ability to accurately track and focus on an animal’s eye.

Sony said the RX10 IV, which is available in a kit for a $1,698 street retail, will be the first bridge camera in its class to offer the specialized AF capability.
