Sony released prices Tuesday on a range of new audio and video products that were originally introduced at CES 2019 and will be hitting retail shelves soon.
From the video perspective the highlight of the announcements was Sony’s new UBP-X800M2 4K UHD Blu-ray Disc player which will carry a $299.99 suggested retail price when it hits stores in mid-May. The player supports Dolby Vision and HDR10 high dynamic range (HDR), wide color gamut compatibility and 4K picture upscaling up to 60p.

In home-based audio components, Sony is adding its HT-S350 2.1-channel soundbar offering 320 watts of total power, and a single-cable HDMI-ARC port. The S350 player ships this month at a $279.97 suggested retail price.
Fans of vinyl records will want to check out Sony’s PS-LX310BT Wireless Turntable, which will output music to Bluetooth speakers, headphones, receivers, soundbars and other devices. The Sony PS-LX310BT will be available mid-April for a $199.99 suggested retail.
In portable audio, Sony said its GTK-PG10 Portable Wireless Party Speaker equipped with Bluetooth, an FM tuner and built-in cup holders will hit stores mid-April at a $249.99 suggested retail. The wireless speaker offers a built-in rechargeable battery with up to 13 hours of non-stop listening.
The Sony GTK-XB72 High Power Home Audio System with Extra Bass, live sound and LED lighting, will be available in mid-April at a $349.99
The Sony SRS-XB12 Extra Bass Portable Bluetooth Speaker also will ship in mid-April at a $59.99 suggested retail. The compact XB12 speaker is small enough to fit in a cupholder but offers big sound on the go with an updated IP67 waterproof and dustproof design.
The Sony SRS-XB22 Extra Bass Portable Bluetooth Speaker will offer even more power and a waterproof, dustproof and shockproof portable design. The XB22 is available the end of April for $99.99 suggested retail.
The Sony SRS-XB32 Extra Bass Portable Bluetooth Wireless Speaker is “party-proof” with an IP67 rating, making it water and dust proof. Up to 100 XB32 wireless speakers can be easily connected to form a Wireless Party Chain, including multi-color and strobe lights. The XB32 is also available the end of April for $149.99 suggested retail price.
