Sony released pricing Friday for many of its 2017 4K Ultra HD televisions and an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc player, which made their debut at last month’s CES 2017.

The announcement covers the XBR lineup of 4K Ultra HD LED LCD TVs, but did not cover the new A1 4K OLED TV series the company unveiled to much anticipation. Those details will be coming a little later.

This year, Sony has expanded the brightness and contrast performance of its 4K Ultra HD lineup, with the X900E series on up offering direct full or grid-array LED backlighting with local dimming.

The XBR -X930E/XBR -X940E (pictured at top) series models include support for HDR10, and this year add Dolby Vision and Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG), the latter coming through a future firmware update, for viewing HDR content.

Sony will also add Dolby Vision to the currently available Z9D flagship 4K Ultra HD LED LCD TV through a forthcoming firmware update.

Sony handles HDR using its Processor X1 Extreme advanced image engine to improve color accuracy, contrast and clarity along with Triluminos display and HDR Remaster systems (the latter is available only in the X850E and higher models.)

In addition, the new models will be operable through the Google Home voice assistant platform that will be built into the set. Sony’s TVs will get Google Home operation internally later in the year following a firmware update. The new models will also be controllable for basic functions via the optional external Google Home speaker sold by Google.

Dealers around the country will begin taking pre-orders on the 2017 4K Ultra HD LED LCD TV models today, with shipments to follow in March. Prices listed below show the manufacturer’s suggested retail pricing (MSRP) terms.
