Built-in audio is provided through Sony’s Acoustic Surface Audio system that produces 2.1 channel sound by vibrating the surface of the ultra-thin screen, creating an immersive multi-dimensional audio experience.

The A8H fits into any room with a versatile 2-way stand integrated into a low-profile design. The stand can be adjusted to raise the TV to fit a soundbar. Alternatively, purchasers can pick up an optional slim-wall mount bracket, model SU-WL8554, for a snug fit against a wall surface.

Inputs include four HDMI ports with one supporting Audio Return Channel (ARC) and the new Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC). The A8H is compatible with Works with Alexa, and supports Apple HomeKit and Airplay 2.

The smart TV platform is Sony’s implementation of Android TV version 9 Pie with snappy response, customizable menus and a large selection of popular streaming apps, including newcomers like HBO Max.
