Samsung Special Lops $400 Off The Frame TVs
Samsung is now celebrating the arrival of spring and Mothers’ Day by offering a limited time $400 discount on 55- and 65-inch models of “The Frame TV.”
For anyone who might have missed The Frame TV introductions last year, this is a special series of Samsung 4K Ultra HD LED LCD TVs designed in collaboration with renowned designer Yves Béhar to present a television with an aesthetically pleasing appearance, on or off. The concept which includes using elegant picture framing in place of the typical TV bezel trim, makes a TV screen that looks like a framed portrait or painting hanging in an art gallery, when in use or otherwise.
To complete the effect, Samsung makes available to purchasers access to Samsung’s Art Store, which maintains a growing library of more than 600 pieces of art from established artists and some of the most famous galleries in the world, including New York’s Museum of Modern Art, Madrid’s Museo del Prado and, recently added, The Hermitage in St. Petersburg.
Users can select any of these artworks to display on screen it’s not in use for video viewing.
In time for Mother’s Day, Samsung is adding to the Art Store several on-theme pieces from London’s Victoria & Albert Museum. In addition, optional bezel frame replacements are available in four colors – white, beige, walnut and just-released matte black – to enhance The Frame’s appearance with any artwork selected.
