Gearing up for next week’s CES 2017, Samsung Electronics revealed Wednesday three key new AV group products that will be unveiled in Las Vegas, including a H7 Wireless Speaker, a new soundbar and a new UHD Blu-ray player.

Samsung said its new AV products all emphasize sleek, simplistic designs and enhanced integration across multiple devices. Prices and availability dates on the products will be announced later.

“Delivering clear, crisp, immersive sound is very important to Samsung, and we always strive to create new products that further complement the user experience,” stated Jurak Choi, Samsung senior VP. “This year, we focused on the audiophile who wants a single, simple solution that not only fits his or her lifestyle, but that simultaneously delivers an unparalleled home audio experience.”

Samsung will use across the lineup, proprietary UHQ 32-bit audio technology that is said to deliver higher quality sound to enhance any source providing 8- to 24-bit signals.

UHQ audio upscales audio sources to a 32-bit output for both wired and wireless connections, creating audio which the company said is much closer in quality to the original recording than existing HD audio. This results in rich. lifelike sound with incredible clarity, Samsung said.

Samsung leveraged its proprietary technology while tapping the the expertise of its U.S.-based audio lab to develop new audio algorithms that “perfect ultra-high quality sound.”

New ‘Distortion Cancelling’ technology is used in speakers and sound bars to reduce sound alterations by predicting the movement of internal speaker and make adjustments to deliver the perfect sound.

Samsung explained the effect works well on a woofer, which tends to output a powerful low-pitched sound with a movement bigger and more unpredictable than other speaker units. The ‘Distortion Cancelling’ algorithm can intelligently predict a woofer’s movement, control it, and play more solid and stable sounds at a low pitch.

Samsung’s new sound profile also includes a ‘Wide-band Tweeter’, which expands and broadens the “sweet spot” in a room, widening the area where optimal sound can be heard. The new profile includes a “Crystal Amplifier” that removes noise so consumers can enjoy the most accurate and precise sound across the widest range.

H7 Wireless Speaker

The H7 wireless speaker is billed as delivering “standalone sound technology that reflects the needs of consumers who enjoy listening to hi-fi audio.”

The speaker features 32-bit ultra-high quality sound performance and received a CES Innovation Award. The UHQ 32-bit audio technology, combined with a bass response going down to 35Hz, is said to deliver “a wide sound range across the human auditory field – from high to low frequencies.”

Samsung’s H7 Wireless Speaker has a sleek, contemporary metal finish, compact size and a retro exterior.

This features a more intuitive user experience supported by wheel control that is used to adjust volume and select favorite playlists from streaming music services.

 New MS750 Soundbar

Samsung’s new MS750 soundbar is the company’s first to embed subwoofer performance directly into the primary unit. This reduces the clutter of a separate subwoofer enclosure, while UHQ 32-bit technology and Samsung proprietary algorithms ensure that the bass is equalized and clear.

The MS750 soundbar is said to create a deeper sense of immersion to produce superior up-firing capabilities and overhead sound from vertically positioned tweeters with up-mixing technology. A Samsung Smart Remote Control control’s the soundbar to distribute home audio is powered by the same device as the TV unit, further simplifying the experience.

The MS750 Soundbar features a “one body” design that can be mounted to a TV with one simple connection that doesn’t require any extra space. The soundbar and TV can be turned on at the same time, simply by connecting the two units with a designated power cable connection. This eliminates the need of two separate power cables. Thus, cable clutter is reduced around the TV.

The wall-mount solution on Samsung’s newest home audio systems has also been improved, with an optional, easy to install I-shaped bracket connecting the TV directly to the soundbar. This requires only one connection to the TV and one hole in the wall.

Samsung M9500 UHD Blu-ray Player

Samsung is calling its second-generation Ultra HD Blu-ray player an “ultimate content player.” Model M9500 features Bluetooth wireless streaming support and Samsung Smart Remote integration enabling the features of the Ultra HD Blu-ray player to be controlled by the remote of a Samsung TV. This “HDR-optimized” device also features a new Private Cinema Mode that enables sound from the Ultra HD Blu-ray player to be transferred to Bluetooth headphones to cut out background noise or prevent any interference with others in the room.

The M9500 player also automatically sets the TV screen and audio to the optimal level by analyzing the content source being played at the time, such as HDR, Atmos or DTS-X. Consumers can enjoy the content they want without changing the TV or audio settings, Samsung said.

In addition, the new Ultra HD Blu-ray player will include improved mobile integration, offering the ability to view Blu-ray titles on mobile device. A 360-degree feature on the mobile device enables viewing 360-degree photos and videos they’ve captured on any TV through their UHD Blu-ray player.
