Samsung has joined forces with the Musée du Louvre in an exclusive artwork partnership that will bring 40 digital copies of some of the Paris, France museum’s legendary paintings and works of art to Samsung The Frame Lifestyle series TV screens.

The agreement with the landmark Paris Art Museum expands the selection of works of art and photographs to more than 1,500 pieces garnered from pretigious galleries and museums — including the Prado Museum in Madrid, the Albertina Museum in Vienna, the Tate Modern in London, the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, the Hermitage State Museum in Saint Petersburg and LUMAS — across 43 countries.

The new artworks from the Louvre are available in up to 4K resolution quality, Samsung said.

Samsung said Thursday, through the arrangement all The Frame owners will have “a chance to explore the most visited museum in the world through 40 pieces of artwork and photographs, including the Mona Lisa and The Wedding Feast at Cana, as well as photos of the majestic Louvre galleries, its architecture, and museum grounds.”

Samsung and the Louvre also plan to unveil other exclusive content for The Frame users later this year, the company said.

Samsung The Frame TVs feature a customizable design, including a selection of interchangeable frame colors and styles that make the 4K QLED LED-LCD televisions serve as a high-performing TV when it’s on and a digital art canvass when it’s off.

The 2021 version of the lifestyle TV offers new custom options with two frame designs: modern (available in white, teak and brown) and beveled (available in white and brick red).

“To complete the artwork appeal, The Frame can be hung flush to the wall on an ultra-slim mount and connected to a One Connect box via a single translucent cable that integrates all TV connectors including the power source. Users can also set The Frame anywhere in the room on a Studio Stand,” the company said.

Samsung also announced that as part of its Discover Samsung Fall promotions (Sept. 20-26, 2021), it is offering limited time discounts and customizable bezel bundle savings for 2021 The Frame TVs.
