Samsung 2011 HDTV Prices Leaked 

Thanks to our industry sources, here is a price list of the new 2011 Samsung large screen HDTVs. The LED LCD models begin shipping in a few days, with sizes up to 55-inches. Samsung scheduled the release of its  new 60-inch screens for this  June, along with the release of a 65-inch model. 2011 Plasma TVs begin to ship this week. They feature new screen sizes of 43, 51, 59 and 64-inches up one inch from last year without an increase in overall dimensions thanks to a thinner screen bezel . We expect a few more 2011 models to be announced in the second half. The 3D feature is included in most of the plasma line starting with the D490 720p series.

Samsung’s line of LED LCDs expands in 2011. The 3D feature is available from the top of the line  UN8000 series down to the mid end 6400 series. The 6000 models and all series above it feature Samsung’s Smart TV functions for Internet movie streaming and TV apps.

Prices posted  are called “MAP” for minimum advertised price. HD Guru expects discounting as TVs ship. We cover the UN and PN (LED and plasma) series. Samsung also plans to release its standard CCFL backlit LCD TVs in the 22-inch to 46-inch screen sizes in the “LN D” series within the next few weeks. In this very competitive TV market, prices are subject to change.
