Roku announced today that it has entered the smart home products category through its new Roku Smart Home suite of smart home products including smart lights, plugs, security cameras, video doorbells and more.
The company called the category entry “a first step beyond the company’s success in the smart TV market,” and “a natural extension that brings the value, choice, and ease of use that consumers have come to love from Roku to the connected home.”
New Roku Smart Home products will be available online from Roku.com and Walmart.com beginning today and will be exclusively carried at Walmart brick-&-mortar stores beginning Oct. 17.
