Accessories brand Infinacore introduced Tuesday a fast charging power pack aimed at mobile device and digital camera users in need of a take-anywhere charger that will provide an inexpensive way of ensuring you always have enough power for that next shot.
The Infinacore Pandora Portable Power (P³) fast charger ($39.95 street retail price, $59.95 suggested retail) eliminates the need to be near a power outlet or even to have cables or wires to connect the device and the power pack on the go.
The travel-ready unit charges up to 2x faster than other wireless chargers. To charge a phone or tablet with wireless charging capability, a user simply needs to press P³’s power button, lay the charger flat on its side with indicated charging surface face up and lay a Qi-enabled (wireless charging) mobile device on top of it. In a few minutes to hours the P³ will fully charge the phone or tablet with potentially enough juice left over for another go.
In the case of a device like a camera or laptop that can charge via a USB port, fast USB 3.0-port or a USB Type-C port, the P³ has the appropriate front panel connectors to quickly plug in.
In our review of the unit we found the Infinacore P³ was remarkably convenient to carry around and use almost anywhere. Our phones, camera and other devices charged up quickly and without complication. The USB Type-C port also enables a backup power source when a notebook or tablet is running out of juice in an airport terminal. The whole process was as intuitive as can be. Then, after 30 seconds of inactivity, the unit shuts itself off automatically to save power for further use.
The P³ features a front panel numerical white LED readout to indicate the percentage of power remaining in battery storage (or capacity left to go when the P³ is plugged into a wall outlet for a charge up). When charging is finished, a nice bright 100 is displayed to clearly and easily see the status. The unit is equipped with a two-pronged fold out electrical plug for easy charge up, and in the event of travel outside of the country, Infinacore supplies a couple of wall plug adapters to ensure compatibility almost any electric system. Once the device is charged, it can be removed from the outlet and ready to go for wired or wireless recharges.

The Infinacore P³ is an 8000mAh global wireless charger that features dual device USB fast charging. Anti-slip rubber padding on the surface of the unit ensures a phone or tablet getting a wireless charge-up stays in place without sliding off.
It is available in both white and black, includes power adapters for EU and UK wall sockets. Users can also convert P³ into a continual 18W power bank, with USB 3.0 QuickCharge technology and USB Type-C Power Delivery, by plugging it into the wall and charging several devices simultaneously with pass-through charging.
Users can charge up in any of three ways, including pass- through charging, optimized charging, and wireless charging.
Pass-through charging involves attaching devices to the P3 system while it’s still attached to the wall and charging itself.
Optimized charging refers to using the P³ while it is disconnected. A quick check for remaining juice can be made by touching a button to light up the LED screen for an accurate gauge of power percentage remaining.
Wireless charging provides exactly what it says when used with a Qi-compatible device. Just place the phone or tablet on top of the well-indicated charging spot on the side P³, with the charger placed flat on a table surface.
