Walmart is apparently getting ready to introduce a new low-priced Full HD Google TV-based streaming stick or adapter under its “onn.” house brand.

Streaming hardware news site Zatsnotfunny.com reported Sunday that it discovered documentation from the chain’s filing with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) showing what seems to be an “HDMI Stick,” that could well be the successor to the retail chain’s initial Android TV-based streaming adapter that is no longer available.

Walmart has also long used onn. to sell many Roku TV-based products.

Zatznotfunny.com speculated the filing could mean a new device based on Google’s updated Google TV user interface, which rides atop the Android TV OS, and brings various user convenience features and search enhancements.

A posted label apparently indicates the device supports “Full HD” (1080p) video resolution with Bluetooth 5.0 (dual-mode) functionality and 2.4G / 5G Wi-Fi.

Walmart currently sells a $20 4K Google TV set-top device under the .onn brand, which would logically make a new Full HD device a potentially very affordable option.
