Sony and Internet-delivered sports-centric live TV streaming service Vidgo introduced a new deal Wednesday to help Sony smart TV owners get to know and subscribe to the streamer’s premium live and on-demand streaming service.
Under the deal, Vidgo is offering Sony smart TV users across the country a free 30-day trial to its Vidgo Premium package (a $79.95 per month value) with no contract obligation.
Vidgo, which started in 2019, offers 150 television cable-like TV networks carrying live sports, news and entertainment, in addition to a library of on-demand content with 40,000 shows, movies and documentaries. However, the service lacks some live local sports networks.
It is a competitive option to services including: YouTube TV, hulu Plus Live TV, Sling TV, Fubo TV and others, and has a large selection of options for Spanish-language audiences.
The service is also available through a number of streaming devices including: Android and Android TV devices, Roku devices, Apple TV adapters, Fire TV and others.
The service is accessible through the Vidgo streaming app, which under the deal is now available on Sony smart TVs through the app store and homepage on new Sony TVs.
Vidgo is noteworthy as a streaming Live TV multi-channel video service with a wide selection of sports-oriented programming from 35 sports networks. These channels bring games, news and discussion from the NFL, NHL, the biggest international soccer matches and other prominent competitive events.
College sports fans will find Vidgo streams games from 20 college sports conferences, including the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), Big Ten, Pacific-12 (Pac-12) and Southeastern Conference (SEC) and others.

Vidgo’s real time live TV streaming service also features 20-hours of free DVR cloud-based time shifting capability along with thousands of on-demand programming options. Subscribers get streaming support for up to three devices simultaneously.
The service offers several streaming tier options: the Vidgo Plus starter package offers 110 channels including 32 sports channels while the Vidgo Premium package provides 150 channels and with 35 sports networks including the option to add NFL RedZone.
Latino TV streaming options include a VidgoMás package featuring live and on-demand Spanish-speaking channels including sports, news, and entertainment.
