HDTV dealers and set makers are using the Presidents Day holiday week to clear out their remaining inventory of top 2012 models. We’ve picked the best HDTV deals with savings up to 48% off retail. The 2013s will be hitting dealers’ shelves in a few days and will continue to roll in as we move into March.
Every year when the new models arrive they are considerably more expensive than the close-outs, although a number of the upcoming models have few performance improvements with many of the TV makers opting instead for a few more features on their respective lines. Also note: most of Samsung’s 2013 F series models will not be discounted below the minimum advertised prices due to its Unilateral Pricing Policy (UPP), making the cost gap even larger. HDTVs typically have about a 25% profit margin.
