Just as the warm spring weather returns, Peerless-AV has introduced its Neptune Partial Sun Series of 4K/HDR LED-LCD outdoor smart TVs.
The Neptune Partial Sun series is positioned as an all-season TV solution for entertainment and living outdoors under moderate sun or shaded settings.
Models are available in the 55- ($2,299 suggested retail), 65- ($2,999) and 75-inch ($3,899) screen sizes, all of which are “maintenance-free,” the company said.
Each model is IP54 weather-resistant rated and has a listed operating temperature range of -22°F to 122°F (-30°C to 50°C). Models feature 4K/HDR resolution and an IPS LCD panel that supports wide-angle viewing.

Peerless-AV also includes a free outdoor tilting wall mount (a $199 value). The company said the partial sun attributes of the panel makes the television well suited for placement on a shaded backyard patio, under the gazebo, as part of an outdoor kitchen setup, areas around a pool and more.
Peerless-AV said each model is capable of presenting brighter highlights with more contrast, resulting in deeper and richer colors for a more realistic, natural image. Peak brightness is listed as 500 nits. The television support high dynamic range through the HDR10 static metadata profile.
The LG Display panel (60 Hz native refresh rate) features a 178-degree viewing angle, that holds only to color and contrast performance from a wide radius.
Inputs include three HDMI ports (HDMI 1.4 / 2.0 with HDCP 1.4 / 2.2). Audio Return Channel (ARC) is supported on HDMI1.
The televisions are equipped with LG’s webOS smart TV operating system and a large library of popular streaming apps. This is operated with an included Magic Remote (not outdoor rated) to navigate the on-screen user interface. The remote includes a built-in mic to pick up spoken Alexa voice commands to simplify TV operation and operate wirelessly connected smart home control devices.
The company also includes a weather resistant basic remote.
The platform also supports a ThinQ AI Home Dashboard enabling control of compatible connected IoT devices.
Peerless-AV includes a sealed cable entry to prevent water and debris from getting inside, as well as a “FreePATH Technology” input ompartment cover that optimizes wireless signals when streaming.
The series is designed to be free of the need for filters or fans, reducing maintenance requirements.
All models feature internal speakers that provide a large sound output without detracting from the TV’s aesthetics.
Models will be available starting in May 2022. The Peerless-AV Neptune series is available for purchase through Amazon, Best Buy, and B&H Photo, among other authorized retail partners.
