Peerless-AV used the recent CEDIA 2017 show to unveil a new line of UltraView UHD Outdoor TVs in three screen sizes and a matching powered outdoor soundbar.

The televisions are available in the 49-inch model UV492 ($2,605.30 retail-$3,999MSRP), 55-inch UV552 ($4,998.99), and 65-inch model UV652 ($5998.99 retail), all of which include built-in high-quality speakers.

The peerless-AV UltraView UHD Outdoor TVs feature 3840×2160 4K resolution using high TNI and wide-viewing-angle In-Plane Switching (IPS) LED-LCD panels.

Inputs include three HDMI 2.0 with HDCP 2.2 ports and a USB input. The sets’ expanded input compartment provides enough additional space to house additional control devices.

The displays are constructed to output up to 500 nits of peak brightness, will withstand a wide range of temperature and weather conditions and are safe from the risk of isotropic blackout or loss of color accuracy with changing sun positions, the company said.

The TVs feature durable aluminum enclosures and are rated to withstand temperature fluctuations from -22°F to 122°F. They do not require the need to change filters or to service the TV, “creating a maintenance-free outdoor entertainment solution,” the company said.

The UltraView UHD Outdoor TVs will ship with a waterproof and dustproof programmable universal remote which will operate up to three additional devices.

The company also said it was named a Crestron Integrated Partner (CIP) for its UltraView UHD Outdoor TVs and Xtreme Outdoor Displays.

Crestron control protocols enable compatible products to function with advanced automation control systems for seamless integration of Crestron residential and commercial automation.

The new outdoor products will be available through custom installers and integrators across the country.

Meanwhile, peerless-AV also introduced its Xtreme Outdoor Soundbar ($449 suggested retail/$399 minimum advertised price), which is billed as a powered outdoor soundbar.

Due for release to authorized dealers in mid-October, the all-weather soundbar has 80 watts of power RMS/200 watts total, two 3-inch aluminum drivers and two 1.5-inch titanium dome tweeters.

It comes with a remote control that allows selecting either auxiliary or Bluetooth to stream music from an Android or iOS smartphone.

The addition of an optical input inclusion of auxiliary and Bluetooth inputs are upgrades over last year’s active soundbar model, which launched at a higher MSRP.

The soundbar includes a universal mounting option, and peerless-AV calls it “the ideal companion piece for the UltraView Outdoor TVs.”
