The Lumix G Series 12-60mm F3.5-5.6 lens is said to support “the highest standards of detail and sharpness.”
The lens is compatible with Panasonic’s Dual Image Stabilization (I.S.) technology, providing stability for clear hand-held pictures. The lens was also designed for smooth, silent operation necessary for high-quality video work.
It is also compatible with sensor drive at max. 240 fps for cameras with high-speed AF systems. The lens is said to be capable of advanced AF performance needed to capture 4K video with precise focus.
The Lumix G Vario 12-60mm F3.5-5.6 uses seven aperture blades offering a rounded shape that produces a smooth bokeh effect in out-of-focus areas when shooting at larger settings. It also uses multi-coated lens elements that minimize ghosts and flare.
For macro work, the lens features 0.54x (35mm camera equiv.) magnification.
Comprised of 11 elements in 9 groups, the Lumix G Vario 12-60mm F3.5-5.6 system lens features three aspherical lense elements and an ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lens which effectively suppresses spherical distortion or chromatic aberration.
