For AI control and smart hub control the Onkyo flagship supports Apple AirPlay 2, and is compatible with Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri AI voice control devices.
The company said the Onkyo receiver can be integrated into an existing Sonos Home Sound System, or can be used to start one by pairing it with a Sonos Port (sold separately).
It is also compatible with DTS Play-Fi to access high-quality music from connected online services, networked media servers, and a personal device library over Wi-Fi to multiple compatible products using the Onkyo Music Control App for iPad, iPhone, and Android smartphones/tablets. DTS Play-Fi can be used to synchronize the music for whole home music distribution.
Further, PAC’s Onkyo team worked with Klipsch to achieve crossover values for specific new speakers to easily integrate the receiever with Klipsch Reference and Reference Premiere speakers.
“Simply select the model of speaker for each channel, and the optimized crossover setting will be automatically applied,” according to the company’s announcement.
