Onkyo USA and Integra announced Thursday that they will be sending out firmware updates to bring volume control for certain Onkyo, Pioneer Elite and Integra branded AV receivers, through the Sonos mobile app.

The app control will manage and route up to three Sonos ports or connections without a control system, the companies said. What this means is Sonos users will no longer have to preset volume levels on the receiver while eliminating potential issues related to the presence of multiple volume controls.

Owners of the supporting products listed below will be able to control the volume from anywhere in their house.
