The Onkyo RZ Series products offer connectivity features including: RS-232, IR and 12v triggers as well as PC setup, detachable power cables and optional rack kits, to simplify for more elaborate installations. The RZ Series products will also be backed by a three-year warranty with priority customer support.
Each include the latest HDMI 2.0a inputs with support for 4K Ultra HD/60p, 4:4:4, high dynamic range, Rec.2020 and HDCP 2.2 content protection to enable passing through a 4K video signal to a display without interference.
All three RZ products offer Zone 2 pre-outs with independent HDMI output and Zone 3 pre-out. All three have 11.2-channel preamp RCA outputs.
Best Selling Soundbars and 5.1 Surround Systems
The PR-RZ5100 features balanced XLR connectors for professional long-cable connections with minimal signal noise. The TX-RZ1100 and TXRZ3100 feature Zone 2 and 3 powered outputs for driving speakers in other rooms. Additional multi-room wireless audio capabilities are offered via optional FireConnect.
The AVRs are equipped with enough power to drive large floor-standing loudspeakers with high accuracy and control. Additional height or ceiling speakers can be added for object-based surround sound speaker set-ups, supporting Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, built in. DTS Neural:X technology support is included to up-mix lossless multichannel surround formats such as DTS Master Audio, for height effects that give listeners a 3D experience that’s close to a native object-based soundtrack.
All three products offer Google Cast, AirPlay, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Spotify, TIDAL, TuneIn, and Pandora with any app-based audio entertainment. These can be cast seamlessly to the theater room and beyond using a Onkyo Remote app.
Both the TX-RZ3100 and the TX-RZ1100 feature a new Onkyo Hi-Current Digital Amplification system that pairs with AccuEQ and AccuReflex technologies to balance and phase-align sound to any listening space. The three models feature premium AKM 384kHz/32-bit digital-to-analog conversion technology and VLSC noise-free processing on all channels, which removes pulse-noise for sound that’s true to the source, the company said.
All three products feature separated digital and analog circuitry to minimize interference, custom low-hum transformers, and audio-grade capacitors for smooth and instantaneous power.
