Nikon introduced Thursday the model D3500 that stands as the company’s new entry-level DSLR, offering up to Full HD 1080/fps video capture.

The new DSLR will ship with an AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens at a $499.95 suggested retail price when it ships in September.

The Nikon D3500 will be equipped with a 24.2MP APS-C DX format image sensor and updated Expeed image processing. It has an ISO range from 100-25600, 5fps burst shooting, an 11-point Autofocus system.

Battery life is rated at 1550 shots per charge, and the camera is equipped with Nikon’s SnapBridge to connect easily with a smartphone or tablet.

The camera is also equipped with an educational Guide Mode for new photographers.
