This week LG introduced its 2023 line of XBOOM party speakers updated with new sound and entertainment features to enhance any event with take-anywhere lighting effects.
New XBOOM devices include models XL7 and XL5, which are both designed for powerful high-quality sound. Pricing and availability were not yet announced.
The LG XL7 is equipped with 250 watts of sound output using an 8-inch Giant Woofer to drive powerful, deeper bass. The portable speaker includes a Dynamic Bass Optimizer to ensure the punch of the bass tones are optimized, well-balanced and free of distortion. This is as important for listening at low volumes as it is when the volume is cranked up. Complementing the bottom tones are the XL7’s two 2.5-inch dome tweeters.
To bring visual elements to the experience, the XL7’s built-in lighting effects make gatherings more memorable, the companys said. A Pixel LED lighting feature comes with Animation mode which expresses colorful patterns, a Visual EQ effect, characters, or customized text on the speaker’s LED panel.

Additionally, Multi Color Ring Lighting produces lightshows with various rotating, flashing effects that sync to the music for an extra dimension to the listening experience. A Customizable Lighting feature allows the choice of colors, patterns, animations, and personalized messages via an XBOOM app to create custom lighting effects to match the mood or playlist.
LG said the XBOOM party speakers also provide enhanced usability and convenience features. The XL7 XBOOM party speaker is equipped with a telescopic handle and wheels that allow it to be moved from place to place. The XBOOM party speakers boast an IPX4 outdoor rating, which means the speaker will be safe around a swimming pool or in the bathroom. Each battery charge will power the speaker for more than 20 hours of playing time.
