LG introduced Tuesday night a pair of premium monitors for 2022 that will be part of the company’s CES 2022 introductions Jan. 4th.
Both models were among LG’s Innovations Award winners, and include the UltraFine Display (model 32UQ85R) and LG DualUp Monitor (model 28MQ780). Each monitor features sleek and styling, enhanced connectivity and enhanced user experiences for use in the home or office workers.
The new LG UltraFine Display 32UQ85R is a 32-inch 4K Ultra HD LCD professional-quality monitor targeted at art directors, graphic designers, photo/video editors and live streamers.
The monitor offers 3,840 x 2,160 resolution using an LG Nano IPS Black panel with a stated contrast ratio of 2,000:1 contrast ratio and 98 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 wide color gamut for advanced black reproduction, vibrant colors and wide viewing angles.
LG said its first Nano IPS Black panel “empowers the LG UltraFine Display to deliver realistic and nuanced black tones, adding more depth to images and allowing creators to realize their visions with advanced precision.”
The UltraFine Display monitor is said to maintain the level of color accuracy consistent with the needs of creative users and comes with a detachable auto self-calibration sensor.
To save time and money, calibration to assure consistent accuracy can be performed automatically using LG’s intuitive software.

The LG DualUp Monitor 28MQ780 is positioned as a multitasking tool suitable for professional uses ranging from content creation to coding. It is equipped with a 28-inch Nano IPS LCD panel offering a unique 16:18 aspect ratio. LG called this a completely new configuration for the monitor market.
The DualUp screen has Square Double QHD (2,560 x 2,880) resolution and takes up the same real estate as two 21.5-inch displays. LG said this design allows a vertical split view function to help users see more in one glance.
The LG 28MQ780 elevates user comfort with an ultra-adjustable LG Ergo stand that saves space by clamping securely to most desks and tables. The double height screen of the LG DualUp Monitor additionally helps reduce side-to-side head movements, which LG attributes to the main cause of neck pain.
Further details on the monitors will be announced during CES 2022.
“LG’s premium monitors for 2022 deliver the picture quality, features and usability that can satisfy the needs of both professional and home users,” said Seo Young-jae, senior vice president and head of the IT business unit of LG Electronics Business Solutions Company. “These CES Innovation Award winning-products are examples of our commitment to explore new form factors and functionalities to expand and strengthen our flagship monitor lineup.”
