LG said it was able to reduce the size of the HU80KA without sacrificing image quality. It was designed to be affordably priced and with premium picture performance in a unit that is roughly half the size of competing 4K projectors.

The 4K UHD projector will display a high quality picture measuring up to 150-inches, LG said.

The unit’s light engine produces up to 2,500 lumens of brightness and will support HDR content (HDR10) with a wider contrast ratio and brighter and richer colors.

It has two built-in 7W speakers for portable viewing options, although external speakers or a sound bar can also be easily connected via optical output, HDMI or wirelessly through Bluetooth for enhanced audio performance, LG said.

The Mirror Reflector may also be used as a lens cover to protect the projector from dust when stored away.

The projector also includes LG’s webOS 3.5 smart TV interface enabling access to popular online streaming services, including those offer 4K and 4K/HDR content.

Connectivity options include: USB, Ethernet and HDMI ports, as well as wireless support for external devices such as a keyboard and mouse, offering endless access to high-quality content.
