LG Electronics USA revealed Tuesday a new cross-promotional effort with game developer Ubisoft leveraging a three-part YouTube program that advocates use of 2020 LG OLED TVs while playing the latest chapter of the popular Assassin’s Creed franchise.
Timed to capitalize on the recent release of the Xbox and Sony next-generation video game consoles, the streamed promotional event, titled “Zero In,” is a collaboration between the electronics company and gaming developer to cross promote the use of some of the advanced new gaming features available from the game, new consoles and 2020 LG OLED TVs with the launch of the next chapter of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
The program is presented as a series of documentary-style digital shorts airing on LG’s YouTube Channel, and includes former tech journalist, actor and gaming enthusiast Olivia Munn, NFL star defensive back Richard Sherman and esports champion Artour “Arteezy” Babaey of Evil Geniuses.
The program centers on how each of the celebrities shuts down distractions from the outside world to engage an optimal flow state with total focus on “writing their own Viking saga in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.”
LG said video shows the different tricks used by Munn, Sherman and Babaey while “zeroing in,” using the display capabilities of an LG OLED TV, which program celebrates as “a must-have to optimize your console gaming experience and performance.”
