LG said this week that it will bring to CES 2017 in Las Vegas Jan. 5-8th a new Full HD 1080p laser projector for home entertainment viewing both inside and outside the house.

The LG ProBeam model (pricing was not disclosed), incorporates a laser light engine listed as putting out up to 2,000 lumens of brightness, sufficient for viewing in rooms with a moderate amount of ambient light or twilight patio settings. LG said the projector was designed to deliver high-performance viewing both in a home theater setting or in diverse settings around the house.

The HF80J’s cabinet is slim and sleek with a standing-type design and an I-shaped laser engine, said to enable greater portability. It weighs 4.6 pounds, making it one of the lightest Full HD laser projectors in the 2,000 lumen range.
