Among the new products LG Electronics will be showing at the upcoming IFA 2022 electronics trade show in Berlin, Germany, will be the monitor division’s new UltraGear OLED gaming monitor (model 45GR95QE) with a 240Hz refresh rate.

The feature-packed OLED monitor will be prominently presented in the LG booth September 2-6. Also having a curved 21:9 wide-screen aspect ratio screen, the 45-inch model was designed for “immersive gaming experiences, offering the visual performance, speed and features serious gamers demand,” LG said.

The 45GR95QE will be among a “wide range of cutting-edge LG monitor products, including the new UltraGear and the UltraFine Display Ergo AI (model 32UQ890), which delivers a truly customizable setup for superior user comfort at home or at the office,” the company said, adding that it will also showcase its 48-inch 48GQ900 UltraGear OLED gaming monitor.

LG said the 45GR95QE UltraGear OLED monitor is its first 45-inch curved OLED gaming monitor with a 21:9 aspect ratio and WQHD (3440 x 1440) resolution. It is also the company’s first display to 240Hz high speed panel with a 45-inch screen-size and an 800R curvature. LG believes the combination of features “helps boost users’ sense of immersion.”

The 240Hz OLED gaming monitor lists a 0.1 millisecond Gray-to-Gray (GTG) response time, 98.5% coverage of the DCI-P3 wide color space, HDR10 high dynamic range support, HDMI 2.1 ports with Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and DisplayPort 1.4 input.

The 21:9 aspect ratio screen offers a “borderless design.” LG said the monitor is positioned for desktop lean-forward gaming setups and offers multitasking capabilities supported by Picture-by-Picture (PBP) and Picture-in-Picture (PIP) features.

Other features in LG’s white OLED UltraGear Gaming Monitors include an anti-glare & low reflection screen coating to minimize visual distractions. LG’s monitors are said to be designed “to put less strain on users’ eyes, which is especially helpful for those who enjoy losing themselves in long, uninterrupted gaming sessions.”

Meanwhile, the LG UltraFine Display Ergo AI (model 32UQ890) will make its debut at the show. This is LG’s first monitor capable of automatically adjusting its position to ensure continued ergonomic comfort throughout the day. The display includes a built-in AI-powered camera to continuously analyze user posture and apply subtle changes to screen height (0 ~ 160mm) and tilt (-20º ~ +20º) to prevent hard-core gamers from sitting in a single position too long, helping to avoid the development of poor posture over time.

The 32UQ890 has three ergonomics-enhancing modes: AI Motion, Continuous Motion and Periodic Motion. AI Motion, which will be demonstrated at LG’s booth during IFA, tracks the user’s eye-level and adjusts height and tilt whenever a change is detected.

The UltraFine Display Ergo AI features a 31.5-inch 4K (3840 x 2160) IPS LED-LCD display panel with 95% coverage of DCI-P3, HDR10 support, and the aforementioned articulated stand that can be intelligently adjusted by LG’s AI technology.
