LG To Present Design-Centric New ‘Oled Objet TVs’ In Milan, Italy June 7-12
LG Electronics announced the expansion of its design-centric “lifestyle” OLED Objet TV series that will be unveiled next month next month as a technology-as-art product showcase.
The new “lifestyle” Objet TV OLED TVs will include a series called The Posé (LX1), which focuses on a “slim, sleek design that blends seamlessly with any room’s décor and user’s lifestyle,” the company said. The implementation is designed to make the TV appear as a piece of high-end or artwork. The look includes curved edges and a muted beige color.
It will be joined by LG’s 65-inch The Easel (65Art90) lifestyle Objet TV, which is designed to take on the appearance of a painting placed on an easel-style floor stand, and includes the company’s brighter evo OLED panel. When set to Line View, the cover slides up – reducing the amount of screen visible and giving users access to useful features and modes such as Date & Clock and audio player.
The new Objet TV 65Art90 will incorporate LG’s high-brightness “evo” OLED technology using advanced algorithms and the α9 Gen 5 AI Processor used in its other 2022 G2 and C2 OLED models, for elevated picture and sound performance. Other features include a built-in 80-Watt, 4.2-channel sound system that helps make the living room feel more like a movie theater.
Employing fabric elements – including the movable cover – made by innovative Danish textile company, Kvadrat, the products feature subtle, modern aesthetic that adds value to the living environment, LG said.
The LG Posé (LX1) series will be available in the 42-, 48- and 55-inch screen sizes at prices to be announced closer to release, following their formal presentation in Milan. LG said both the Easel and Posé (LX1) TVs “will be launching in Europe and other select markets from the third quarter of this year.”
To underscore the high-end art appeal of the TVs, LG said it plans to unveil the new LX1 lifestyle display series at Salone dei Tessuti during this year’s Milan Design Week in Milan, Italy June 7-12.
