LG Smart TVs Get Amazon Music App Plus Special Features, Offers

LG OLED, NanoCell and other LG smart TVs in the United States dating back to 2016 are being updated this month with an integrated Amazon Music App.

The Amazon Music App brings Prime members access to more than 2 million pre-selected songs and over 1,000 playlists and stations at no additional cost to their membership.

In addition, subscribers to Amazon Music Unlimited’s premium subscription tier get access to more than 60 million songs and thousands of playlists and stations, all streamable through these television sets and home theater components and soundbars connected to them.

LG said owners of eligible smart TVs who have not yet tried Amazon Music Unlimited will also qualify for an extended 90-day free trial when they purchase an LG TV on Amazon.com or register a compatible LG TV with Alexa.

Furthermore, owners of LG smart TVs with compatible functionality will be able to access favorite music selections hands-free on their TVs using just their voice and the advanced LG Magic Remote, the company reminded.

Other relevant features in LG’s 2020 TVs include Bluetooth Surround connectivity, to new LG Bluetooth speakers that can be used as rear-channels for a virtual multichannel 4.0 surround sound experience.
