Are you ready for some OLED football?
Super Bowl LIV has all of the signs of being one of the greatest shootouts of all time, both from the standpoint of the talent on the Kansas City Chiefs’and the suddenly transcendent San Francisco Forty-Niners’ rosters, and from the visual impact of all that red running across the screen.
Naturally, you’ll want to make sure you are watching it all on a TV that can capture those shades with accuracy.

LG has just announced a smash-mouth deal on its popular B9 Series 4K OLED TVs that will give you the opportunity to throw a major Super Bowl party in style or to sit home alone in the dark in white-knuckled terror waiting for your pick to deliver on that potentially lucrative bet.
The company announced today a limited-time promotion bringing “the lowest price ever for a 4K LG OLED TV,” available from LG-authorized retailers around the country. But hurry, supplies are likely to be tight and might not last until the offer’s Feb. 2 conclusion.
We’ve provided links below to help you grab one in time for the game, and help the HD Guru earn a small commission for your referral in the process. We thank you!
According to LG, the promotion represents up to $700 savings on the original prices of these entry class LG 4K OLED B9 models.
LG OLED TV B9 Series
55-inch class model OLED55B9, $1,296.99 (originally $1,599)
65-inch class model OLED65B9, $1,796.99 (originally $2,499)
As we reported in our review of this class here, the B9 Series delivers fantastic picture quality with deep black levels, wide contrast range, and in HDR content, nicely accented bright specular highlights that come through nicely with organic light emitting diode (OLED) technology.
The picture quality in the B9 series is very similar to LG’s step-up OLED series models with only slight differences in cosmetics, peak brightness and image processing performance, making this a nearly premium-level television at a great value.
In addition to sports and movie viewing, LG OLED TVs are high-powered displays for video gamers, delivering fast response time, excellently low input lag, and compatibility with NVIDIA G-SYNC to keep NVIDIA graphics-card enabled PC game frames from tearing on screen.
In addition, for those looking to catch up on their Star Wars viewing, those who purchase a new 2019 LG OLED TV before Feb. 9, 2020, will be eligible to receive a 12-month subscription to Disney+. LG TVs also are equipped with the webOS smart TV platform that makes it easy to find a favorite program with a large library of supported streaming apps. Viewers even have the option of using voice commands from built-in mics for Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa to control basic TV functions or even connect with smart home devices.
In addition, LG OLED TVs support Apple AirPlay 2 and Apple HomeKit for easy streaming of video and audio content and connectivity to Apple’s smart home products.
