Curved Sound Bar_1LG said its first sound bar designed for curved-screen TVs, model LAS855M, will hit retail shelves in October at a $699 suggested retail price.

The company’s first curved sound bar was designed to match the curve of LG’s curved OLED TV models, including the 4K EG9600 models that will support high dynamic range with a firmware update coming later this summer.

More on the LG Music Flow LAS855M Curved Speaker Bar after the jump:

The sound bar is said to feature 360 watts of power to 4.1 channels, with a wireless subwoofer and four built-in speakers. Other features include: slim-design styling and a dynamic i-Sound mode that interprets what content users are listening to in order to automatically adjust the output settings to accommodate: regular television, sports, movies and music, LG said.

The LAS855M Curved Sound Bar will be part of LG’s Music Flow family of wireless speakers and sound bars supporting Google Cast, which allows users to send music from an Android phone or tablet, iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows laptop or Chromebook to LG Music Flow devices.

Music can be sent from a preferred streaming app directly to the sound bar via a Wi-Fi network.

Other features include: Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and integration into a Music Flow speaker network using Home Cinema Mode that omits the need of a bridge device. A Multi-room Mode allows delivery of sound to remote rooms in the house. Music can be controlled in each room with a mobile device. Songs can be piped throughout the house, or different songs can be selected for each individual room.

The LAS855M also offers HDMI pass-through, to reproduce audio while sending HD video to the TV.
