LG Electronics USA is now offering a limited-time promotion giving purchasers of select LG 4K TVs a $100 credit toward popular streaming content and gaming sites.
The promotion, which is running now through Jan. 17, 2020, will reward customers who purchase an LG OLED BX series 4K TV or select LG NanoCell LCD 4K TVs from the 80, 81, or 85 model Series the credit to be applied to a choice of Prime Video, Hulu, Showtime, Sling and XBOX.
The offer is being coordinated through LG.com and LG-authorized dealers nationwide. For further information on terms and conditions for eligibility visit here.
LG BX series TVs are among the company’s most affordable and popular OLED TV sets. OLED technology is noteworthy for the use of self-lit pixels that enable the deep black reproduction, realistic colors and an infinite contrast performance, while eliminating issues like blooming or haloing around bright objects against darkened backgrounds — like night scenes or deep space settings.
LG is also touting its OLED TVs for being the first TVs to offer hard-core gamers NVIDIA G-SYNC variable refresh rate (VRR) graphics, low input lag and ultra-fast response times from advanced gaming titles. LG said this reduces or eliminates flicker or stuttering common to most displays.
LG’s 2020 OLED and NanoCell TVs also support HDMI VRR, “making LG the only TV brand offering compatibility with a wide variety of gaming devices such as graphics cards and game consoles.”
LG NanoCell TVs, are LED-LCD based sets with wide viewing angles and advanced color reproduction through the use of “NanoCell” technology that uses a layer of one-nanometer-sized particles to filter out color impurities for more natural-appearing imagery.
2020 LG OLED TVs and LG NanoCell 85 Series TVs also support most popular high dynamic range (HDR) profiles including HDR10, Dolby Vision, and HLG. They also support on-board advanced surround sound audio formats, including Dolby Atmos.
LG’s webOS Smart TV platform now supports Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa voice control built-in as well as support for AirPlay and HomeKit. The webOS Smart TV platform has provides access to the most popular streaming apps, all easily accessible using gestures or voice commands via LG’s Magic Remote control.
