LG Electronics USA introduced at CEDIA Expo in Denver this week its 118-inch “LG MAGNIT” 4K Micro LED residential display.
The giant direct view Micro LED screen display brings a new screen size to the LG MAGNIT category, and is said to “hit the sweet spot between the LG MAGNIT 136-inch residential Micro LED display and the award-winning 97-inch class LG Signature OLED M wireless TV,” which is also feature in the company’s CEDIA booth, according to LG USA Senior VP Michael Kosla.
Priced Micro LED package, which carries a retail price of $237,000, sets “a new standard for home entertainment, delivering the ultimate color, clarity and contrast,” Kosla said. “With a 0.6 mm pixel pitch, crisp 4K resolution, robust chip-on-board LED technology and AI-enhanced processing, viewers can enjoy stunning picture quality when watching their favorite blockbuster movies, sporting event or displaying digital artwork through the intuitive webOS smart TV software.”
Each of the display’s 8 million-plus Micro LED pixels is individually lit each and measures about the width of a human hair. This enables pure blacks and a very high contrast ratio. The display supports high dynamic range (HDR) with greater shadow detail than conventional displays, and its picture processing systems are powered by LG’s Alpha 9 processor which uses artificial intelligence deep learning technology to reduce picture noise and optimize color saturation and contrast based on the viewing conditions of the room.
The 120Hz native refresh rate display is optimized for a variety of content in indoor home environments with 250 nits of brightness enabling viewing high quality images “even in sun-lit rooms.”

The package includes a pair of integrated 50-watt speakers and a stand or wall mount to accommodate standalone installations. LG also supports WiSA-standard wireless speaker connectivity including the Bang & Olufsen Beolab 50 speakers that LG used in its booth to demonstrate the full luxury product experience.
LG said the Micro LED display supports streamlined installation using a simple two-cabinet design that can be installed faster than other modular LED displays. LG MAGNIT 136-inch Micro LED 4K and 2K residential displays are also on display at the event
Other featured products in the LG booth include: LG OLED TVs, highlighted by a newly launched 97-inch LG Signature OLED M (model 97M3) and 83- and 77-inch diagonal LG OLED evo M (models 83M3 & 77M3 respectively).
As first demonstrated at CES in January, the LG OLED M Series is billed as “the world’s first consumer TV with a wireless connectivity solution capable of real-time video and audio transmission at up to 4K 120Hz, eliminating the need to run cables directly to the TV.”
