As March Madness descends, LG is celebrating its on-going NCAA corporate sponsorship by launching special bundled product deals supporting five popular OLED TV models.
The promotion, available through authorized LG retailers and e-commerce partners across the nation, offers both reduced pricing on the OLED sets plus the choice of a handful of LG products, including LCD TVs, sound bars or gift certificates to go with the main purchase item.
Qualifying OLED TV models include 65- and 55-inch LG EG9600 and EF9500 series models, and the 55-inch 55EG9100. The OLED sets, which are 4K UHD TVs in the case of the EG9600 and EF9500 models and Full HD in the 55EG9100 model, are from LG’s 2015 product line up.
Note that the curved EG9600 models support HDR 4K streaming, but do not have HDMI 2.0a inputs to accept HDR10 metadata from external sources like new Ultra HD Blu-ray players. However, the flat 4K EF9500 models do include HDMI 2.0a/HDCP2.2 inputs and will display HDR10 metadata from both streamed and external source devices. The 55EG9100 is a 1080p set and does not support HDR of any kind.

The promotion began March 13th and runs through April.
Note: The posted links below are to Amazon, which offered the promotional pricing but only provided some of the bundle offer items with each model as this went live. According to an LG spokesperson: “The bundles are available both online and in store through these retailers. The bundle rebate can only be obtained at the time of purchase; it is not possible to get a bundle rebate after the sale of the TVs individually.” In the meantime, you can try contacting Amazon for more information on bundles not listed, or visit a participating brick-&-mortar LG retailer in your area.
The LG OLED March Madness bundle promotion includes the following:
• LG Curved 65-inch OLED 4K Smart TV Model 65EG9600 (regularly $5,999 now $4,999) or LG Flat OLED 4K Smart TV Model 65EF9500 (regularly $5,999 now $4,999).
From 3/13-April, the deal also includes an LG 43-inch 43UF6400 LCD TV, or an LG LAS855M or LAS851M sound bar, or a $300 gift card.
• LG Curved 55-Inch OLED 4K Smart TV Model 55EG9600 (regularly $3,999, now $2,999) or the LG Flat 55-Inch OLED 4K Smart TV Model 55EF9500 (regularly $3,999, now $2,999).
From 3/13-April the deal on the above models also includes the choice of an LG 42-inch 42LF5600 LCD TV or an LG 43-inch 43LF5400 LCD TV or an LG LAS551H or curved with LAS551H or SH5B or SH4 sound bar or a $200 gift card.
• LG Curved 55-Inch OLED 4K Smart TV Model 55EG9100 (normally $2,499, now $1,999).
From 3/13-April the deal also includes a choice of and LG LAS454B or SH5B or SH4 speaker bar or a $100 gift card.
