LG is setting the stage for a big Memorial Day TV promotion with the early bird offer this week of its LG 55EG9100 Full HD 1080p OLED TV at a remarkable $1,799.99. Select dealers are making the pot a little sweeter by throwing in a store gift certificate for varying amounts.
The $1,799.99 price is the lowest offer to date for a new LG OLED TV, and marks a huge price decline since the company’s first 55-inch Full HD OLED TV model (55EA9800) was released to the market at a $14,999.99 retail price in 2013.
The LG 55EG9100 is a 2015 model that features a curved screen; webOS 2.0 smart TV platform; deep black level performance with rich color enhancement; ultra-wide viewing angle, enhanced on-board sound system; and 3 HDMI 1.4 inputs with HDCP.
Select retailers are throwing in store gift certificates to make the deal even more impressive. Costco, for example, is offering the TV at $1,799.99 and is throwing in a $300 Costco Cash Card. (See photo at top.)
Amazon has the LG55EG9100 listed at $1,797.99, and is throwing in a $150 Amazon Gift Card.
Then, beginning Sunday, May 22nd, LG will kick off its Memorial Day Weekend and Father’s Day promotion LG is offering deals on select LG OLED TVs and Super UHD TVs.
