Hisense revealed Wednesday that it is now selling its 75-inch 8K U800GR premium ULED Roku TV.

The 8K Roku TV is certified by the 8K Association to deliver pictures with 33 million pixels (or four times more depth and clarity than a 4K TV).

The Hisense 75-inch U800GR 8K Roku TV is available now from Amazon and Best Buy stores at a $2,699.99 suggested retail price, $2,399.99 street.

In addition to presenting 8K content from native resolution sources and upscaled from 4K and lower resolution content, Hisense’s latest ULED Series TV model includes full array with local dimming LED-LCD backlighting with quantum dot color enhancement for wide color gamut support, a 120Hz native refresh rate LCD panel with Motion Rate 480 smooth motion processing and built-in Dolby Atmos object-based surround sound decoding.

Hisense said the 75U800GR 8K Roku TV supports HDR10, HDR10+, HLG and Dolby Vision high dynamic range and outputs peak HDR brightness of up to 1,000 nits from 180 local dimming zones. The listed static contrast ratio with local dimming is 150,000:1.

Hisense U8G are 4K LCD TVs that will be available in 55 and 65 inches for $950 and $1300, respectively.

For gamers, the setting is equipped with auto low latency (ALLM) game mode and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) to reduce frame tearing from supported sources. The set lists support for Auto Return Channel (ARC) but the newer eARC is not indicated.

The set’s built-in 8K Upscaler analyzes content frame-by-frame and automatically adjusts the displayed image for greater clarity and depth, regardless of the content resolution.

The U800GR Series ships with the new Roku Voice Remote Pro powered by a rechargeable battery and including a lost remote finder, customizable personal shortcut buttons, and built-in mic for hands-free voice commands to play entertainment, control of streaming apps and performing basic TV functions like powering on and off the set.

The U800GR includes a customizable home screen, instant access to hundreds of streaming apps with access to more than 500,000 free movies and TV episodes in addition to thousands of free or paid streaming options.

Other features include support for Apple AirPlay 2 that enables streaming, controlling and sharing favorite content directly from iPhone or Mac to the U800GR screen.

In addition to Roku voice control, the set supports a host of voice control platforms through he voice remote including Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri (the latter via HomeKit) as well as the Private Listening feature by plugging a set of earbuds into the remote control.

The Roku OS receives regular free software updates delivering new features over time including an enhanced Live TV Channel Guide, Automatic Wi-Fi Network Recommendation, Automatic Game Console Configuration and more.
