Outdoor TV maker Furrion introduced Aurora Full Sun 4K Smart LED LCD TV series, joining its new 2022 Aurora Partial Sun 4K Smart LED Outdoor TV series, and Aurora Full Shade Smart 4K LED Outdoor TV series in the brand portfolio.
Further, Furrion said all of its outdoor TVs coming for 2022 are now based on the LG WebOS smart OS platform and include the supporting Magic Remote. Last year’s models did not build-in a smart TV platform.
In addition, each model is outfitted with a RangeXtend external antenna for strengthened Wi-Fi reception.
Both the Furrion Aurora Full Sun and Partial Sun TVs come with XtremeShield IK08-rated tempered glass screens for additional protection against impacts and scratches, the company said.
All of the Furrion outdoor TV models are also IP54 rated for long-lasting weather-resistant designs capable of withstanding a wide range of weather conditions. The company said each series has been designed to enable the best viewing conditions for a type of lighting condition for the location they are placed.
“With more interest than ever in outdoor living and consumers looking to upgrade or expand their living spaces, our new Aurora lineup brings an additional element of luxury without compromising consumers’ budgets,” stated Grant Olafson, Furrion Consumer Division VP. “Building on last year’s TV lineup, we decided to expand product offering by introducing a Full Sun option – which was designed with both home-use and outdoor businesses alike. Our outdoor focus – in marine, mobile living, renewable energy, and more – means we’re always designing from that foundation.”
Furrion Aurora TVs are weatherproof in all conditions, and are engineered to withstand UV rays, rain, snow, dirt, insects, and humidity, the company said. Their weatherproof housing and IP54 rating means Aurora is built to last, and the weather-resistant media bay offers even more protection for inputs and outputs.
Furrion designed this year’s Aurora TVs with a range of outdoor viewing experiences in mind. Brightness and anti-glare reflection reduction levels are tailored to various levels of sun or shade conditions, moment to moment to provide the best value for each situation.
The new Aurora lineup brings support for the base-line HDR10 static metadata high dynamic range (HDR) profile, and will present bright vivid colors and deep, rich contrast, the company said.
The webOS smart TV will provide access “to a wide range of popular streaming apps” and content.

● Up to 400 nits peak brightness and an anti-glare LCD screens optimized for the best viewing in shaded areas.
