Fujifilm recently introduced its X-S10 APS-C mirrorless camera, offering a compact body design, affordable price point and advanced in-body stabilization.
For video work, the camera will shoot video at up to 4K/30p resolution and includes a microphone input and headphone connection adapter. It will record in flat F-Log captured internally at up to 8-bit 4:2:0. Alternatively, it will record video at up to 10-bit, 4:2:2 chroma sub sampling, externally.
The Fujifilm X-S10 will hit retail stores in November at a $1,000 suggested retail price for the body only, or $1,400 for the camera bundled with a XF 18-55mm F2.8-4 lens, or $1,500 for the camera with an XF 16-80mm F4 R OIS WR lense.
The X-S10 incorporates a 26.1 megapixel X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor and X-Processor 4 image processor, which were both included in the higher-end and larger-form-factor Fujifilm X-T4 model. It also features a newly designed in-body image stabilization system, that makes more efficient use of the cameras diminutive body design. The Fujifilm X-S10 system is said to be 30% smaller than the one used in the X-T4.
Fujifilm said the camera has 6 stops of shake reduction, which is just a half-stop lower than the X-T4’s 6.5 stop mechanism, and performs to that rating with most of Fujifilm’s lenses, the company said.
