
Those who like to watch movies on really large screens with the lights on in the room might want to check out Epson’s latest Home Cinema HC 1450 Full HD 1080p 3LCD projector.
Epson introduced Thursday its latest highly bright mighty mite as an affordable option for casual game play and movie watching on projection-sized screens.

The Epson Home Cinema 1450 (available April 17th at a $1,499 suggested retail price) is said to produce “3x the color brightness” of competitive models in its class, producing 4,200 lumens of color brightness and 4,200 lumens of white brightness.

The HC 1450 enables side-by-side image display from different sources for content sharing and provides a range of connectivity options including two HDMI inputs (1 MHL-enabled) for external source devices, like streaming media adapters, Blu-ray players and cable and satellite boxes.
Other connections include: 1 USB Type A input; 1 USB Type B input; composite video input; analog audio input (red and white); 1 D-Sub 15-pin computer input; 2 D-Sub outputs; 2 mini audio input jacks; and one RS-232c input.
The unit includes a 16-watt internal speaker for casual game playing and movie watching.
The projector cabinet (with feet) measures 14.84 x 11.48 x 4.92 inches and weighs 10.1 pounds.
It is equipped with four color modes, simple setup.
