Enclave Audio introduced this week a pair of wireless 5.1-channel home theater speaker systems conforming to the WiSA high-performance wireless speaker technology standard, including the first THX-Certified WiSA system.
The Woodland Hills, Calif.–based company announced the two new wireless multi-channel speaker systems, CineHome II ($999.99 suggested retail for the set) and the CineHome Pro ($1,499.99 for the set), along with the new enabling CineHub ($149.99 suggested retail or $99.99 bundled with either speaker package) have been added to its expanded CineHome product assortment. All three units will hit retail shelves starting Dec. 2, 2019.
Enclave said the CineHome PRO system is THX Certified when bundled and used with the new THX-certified CineHub.
Through the CineHub, the Enclave speaker systems can connect to any TV (WiSA Ready or not), the company said. Both speaker systems can be used with WiSA Ready TV’s like 2019 4K UHD LG OLED and NanoCell LED-LCD TVs using a WiSA Certified Transmitter but when used with the CineHub these work with pretty much any TV that supports HDMI ARC and eARC, Enclave said.
The Enclave Audio products support full 5.1-channel speaker set-ups without the need of connecting wires, an AVR or separate audio amplifiers.
The technology enables easy set-up and connections for building a complete 5.1-ch. CineHome system with upscale high-fidelity audio performance properties.
Both of the new systems consist of three wireless front speakers (left, right, and center), two wireless rear speakers (left and right), and a wireless subwoofer, the company said.
Removing the need for connecting wires, each of the speakers can be quickly and easily positioned around the home theater space without the need for long wire runs beyond each unit’s power cords that can be plugged into nearby outlets.
At the heart of each system is the Wireless Speaker and Audio (WiSA) Association standard which was developed to provide interoperability compliance testing between consumer electronics devices and high-performance wireless speakers.
The systems pair and sync automatically to present immersive high-definition sound across a 360-degree sound stage. The CineHome II and CineHome PRO speaker systems can be bundled with the Enclave CineHub or configured to work with any WiSA-Certified transmitter or any WiSA-ready devices within the ecosystem. The technology is not dependent on any external Wi-Fi, and instead operate on a discrete wireless network exclusive to the audio system, Enclave said.
This safeguards the speaker systems from latency, lag or interference common with other wireless devices operating in the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz frequency bands while supporting uncompressed 24-bit, 96kHz audio with extremely low latency and less than one microsecond of synchronization between speakers, the company said.
The CineHub wireless audio transmitter supports Dolby Audio, DTS Digital Surround, and Uncompressed PCM audio formats, and eARC, ARC, optical, Bluetooth and analog connectivity.
When bundled with the CineHome PRO wireless speaker solution, the Enclave CineHub delivers the first THX Certified and WiSA Certified home theater system, Enclave Audio said.

“Enclave is the first speaker company to bring the powerful combination of THX Certification and WiSA compatibility to a 5.1 wireless home theater system. Each year, we see video technology improve–from HD to 4K to 8K and beyond–but audio technology has been lagging. With the explosion of consumer access to multi-channel audio content, we are planting the stake to say our entertainment deserves immersive audio,” said Rob Jones, Enclave Audio chief technology officer. “We’re restoring the integrity of the home theater experience by delivering customers their favorite movies, shows, games, and music, the way it was intended it to be heard, without the complicated installation processes of the past.”
The CineHome II system consists of six separate, custom-tuned speaker enclosures with 12 individually designed speaker drivers designed to emit 360 degrees of 24-bit HD wireless audio. Bi-pole rear speakers provide wide, enveloping surround sound.
The subwoofer features an 8-inch down-firing driver; the center channel features two 3-inch drivers and a 1-inch tweeter; the left and right front channel speakers each include one 3-inch driver and a 1-inch tweeter; the Bi-pole rear channel speakers each have 2-inch drivers. Each speaker has a power cord.
