Edifier, the manufacturer of high quality, high value speakers, home theater systems and headphones, recently used CES 2019 to unveil a forthcoming lineup of new models highlighted by the company’s “first smart home theater system,” featuring a wireless soundbar.
The company also presented it first smart mome enabled speakers, model S1000A will Alexa compatibility, the Edifier S90HD 4.1-channel soundbar system; and the Edifer S3000 Pro Active 2.0 wireless monitor speakers.
Edifier Smart Home Theater Wi-Fi Soundbar with Subwoofer
The Edifier Smart Home Theater Wi-Fi Soundbar and Subwoofer System, model B8A, features high quality cinema sound with the voice-control convenience of Alexa artificial intelligence (AI) technology. With “Works with Alexa” support, users will be able to wirelessly link an existing Alexa Echo or Dot smart speaker or device to have hands-free control of soundbar commands and features.
Internally, the B8A soundbar features a 25mm silk dome tweeter and dual 70mm aluminum diaphragm mid-range drivers for both left and right sections of soundbar, paired with a wooden wireless subwoofer with an 8-inch low-throw woofer driver. Total system power is rated at 154 watts R.M.S. (12W x2 + 30W x2 + 70W).
The B8A features a built-in HDMI repeater with audio return channel (ARC support) and Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) multi-component interoperability. It can be connected to audio sources via optical, coaxial, line-in/AUX inputs or streamed wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.0.
The B8A soundbar system is scheduled to arrive in the first quarter of 2019 at a price to be announced later.
Edifier S90HD 4.1-Channel Soundbar Home Theater System
The Edifier S90HD, which is available now from supporting retailers at an $899.99 retail price, is a 4.1-channel soundbar system offers built-in Dolby and DTS decoding support, a wireless subwoofer, a wooden enclosure and two wireless rear surround speakers.
The S90HD supports wireless Bluetooth connectivity with Qualcomm aptX decoding for high-resolution music fidelity. Total power output is listed at 202 watts using a bi-amping structure and DSP based electronic crossover. Internal components include titanium diaphragm tweeters and the dual mid-range drivers that are driven independently by dedicated amplifiers.

Listed specs for the S90HD are as follows: R/L (treble): 12W+12W; (mid-range) 32W+32WSR/SL (mid-range): 22W+22W; SW: 70 watts, Noise Level: 25dB.
Edifier S3000 Pro Active 2.0 Wireless Monitor Speakers
Edifier showed its S3000Pro Active 2.0 Wireless Monitor Speakers with high resolution Bluetooth wireless connectivity.
The monitor speakers include a 6.5-inch aluminum diaphragm bass unit and proprietary planar diaphragm tweeters capable of 256 watts total RMS. The S3000 Pros feature multiple connectivity options including USB, optical, coaxial, auxiliary and balanced XLR inputs.
The Edifier S3000 Pro Active 2.0 wireless monitor speakers use Bluetooth V5.0 wireless connectivty with Qualcomm aptX HD decoding and the ability to pair multiple audio devices.
Edifier said the S3000 Pros have a dual active design, which offers a symmetric acoustic character for both left and right speakers.Each left and right speaker is built with bi-amping structure. The processor core ofthe S3000Pro include an XMOS xCore 200 chip, which offers a USB interface that supports incoming sample rate up to 192KHz.
Edifier equips the S3000 Pro monitor speakers with a Texas Instruments TLV320AIC3268 DSP chip for dynamic range control. The high efficiency switch mode power supply produces a clean sound with and ample power.

Edifier S1000A Smart Home Enabled Speakers
The Edifier Announces The S1000A Smart Home Enabled Speakers feature compatibility with “Works with Alexa” smart speakers (including the Echo and Dot) and devices to control playback hands free. Users with Amazon smart speakers and other Alexa-enabled devices can use voice commands to control music volume and other functions . The S1000A speaker also has a built-in Bluetooth V5.0 audio receiver and Qualcomm aptX decoding for high quality wireless music streaming.
The S1000A speaker features a 5.5-inch bass driver with aluminum diaphragm for surge and wave bass and a Class D amplifier. The speaker design includes wooden side panels and a black matte finish center and back panel.
The S1000A speakers will be available in the first quarter of 2019 at a price to be announced later.
